Dear friends and colleagues,
On behalf of the organising committee, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us at the inaugural FutureHealth 2017 Conference and the second Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) Conference on Workforce Transformation, to be held on 8th – 10th November 2017. The conference will be held in Singapore at the brand-new city campus of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine), a new medical school established by Nanyang Technological University Singapore and Imperial College London. The conference is jointly organised by LKCMedicine, NTU Institute for Health Technologies (HealthTech NTU) and the CHI.
Bringing together international thought leaders and local expert speakers, the theme of this three-day conference is “Innovations Transforming Healthcare” showcasing challenges and interdependence of workforce transformation and medical technology in healthcare as the two interconnecting tracks. The Workforce Transformation track will explore ways to strengthen the capabilities of the healthcare and informal workforce to build a future-ready workforce; while the Medical Technology Innovations track aims to feature innovations in healthcare technology and their applications towards sustaining health.
We are honoured to have as one of the keynote speakers, Professor Barry Marshall, who is a Nobel Laureate in Physiology and Medicine. Aside from keynote addresses, our programme will showcase invited talks, debates and workshops, poster presentations, technical demonstrations, exhibitions, site visits, networking opportunities as well as the much-lauded National Healthcare Innovation and Productivity Medals presentation ceremony.
Singapore is well-placed to host this conference that will offer a rich and exciting preview into the future of healthcare. The conference programme has been designed to challenge our notion of healthcare transformation 50, 100 years from today. We hope that you will join us for what promises to be an exhilarating meeting of minds of medical leaders, policy-makers, healthcare practitioners, researchers and healthtech industry players.
With best wishes,
Professor Lionel Lee
